What I have come to realize is that I enjoy attending concerts. Especially ones by artists ive never even listened to. I feel like once you see them perform live, that can make or break whether or not you want to continue listening. Being an artist is one thing, but being a performer is a true gift. Being able to get in front of hundreds to thousands of people each night performing the same sets as the next and going harder each and every time, I can honestly say that it definitely could not be me. Never in my life could I have ever imagined that I would be standing in the same room as Willow and Jade Smith. After watching them perform live on their Willow & Eyrs Tour, I can confidently say that I was not the only one feeling that way. I will confess, I have only heard a few of their tracks (Mainly the ones that got the most radio play) but after witnessing them perform their hits for the first time in my life, I was astounded.  Atlanta welcomed Jaden and willow with open arms this weekend including a massive request for an encore, which they happily responded to. The livest concert I’ve seen this year.  Willow was the calm before the storm, whom in this case, the storm was her older brother Jaden whose visuals were the essence of the entire show. Never have I ever seen someone start their concert off with a Ted Talk discussing Climate Change, a game changer for sure. There were mosh pits left and right and a cameo appearance by Atlanta native, Raury. As I watched over the balcony, I witnessed thousands of screaming fans recite the lyrics back to Willow and Jaden. I was amazed. The final song “Icon” had fans going bizerk and I was here for it. I wish I could give this show a 10/10 but the heat was so strong, I had to step outside into the hall a few times because I was surely about to faint. I couldn’t possibly imagine how the crowd was standing downstairs. Either way, if you ever have a chance to go see them in concert, get your tickets ASAP!
